“Everything we do relies on the participation of dedicated people who love these parks.”

We schedule 2 days each month to gather and work at FT Proctor Park – normally on the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Wednesday.  Our volunteers perform various tasks throughout the park not only to keep it looking its best but also to keep the grounds healthy.  We do our best to follow good land management practices to ensure native plants can thrive, invasive plants are controlled, our trees remain healthy, the creek flows cleanly, and the wildlife and passing birds can prosper. We can’t do this alone!

Planting the Peace Garden at FT Proctor Park

Our volunteers plant and care for trees, shrubs, and perennials; trim trees and shrubs; spread compost and mulch; weed garden beds and edge paths; remove leaves and dead wood; and collect trash.  They help with new projects and maintain established ones.  And in the process they become part of the park’s community and invested in its livelihood.  We hope you will join us!
